Storm Genasi

A Storm Genasi has the appearance of a human with blue skin and bright blue eyes.  Their hair can be any color but has arcs of electricity that jump through it frequently.  Storm Genasi measure in height between 6' - 7' tall and and weigh between 90 - 140 lbs.  The body of a Storm Genasi often has branching patters like that of lightning covering their body.

Storm Genasi were created by Vruadorm to seek out creatures who have travelled beyond the veil and destroy them.  They live extended lifespans compared to most humanoids and during this time will have a constant nagging feeling that they should be hunting.  Some choose to ignore this calling and pursue their own goals, but the feeling never goes away and is likely to persist until every creature that has crossed has either left or been eradicated.

Most Storm Genasi find a home among the ranks of the military or smaller organizations that specialize in hunting down extraplanar threats.  Those that willing choose to live outside of civilization will find comfort in areas that are frequented by storms.

Your Storm Genasi character has a variety of natural abilities, all innate to the lightning the comprise  your form

Choose one ability score to increase by 1 and one ability score to increase by 2

When you are in an area that is wet or is currently raining, your movement speed increases by 10' 

Once per long rest as a bonus action, you may harness the innate lightning that comprises your being.  For one minute you gain the following effects.

1.  You gain bonus lightning damage to your weapon attacks equal to your proficiency bonus.

2.  You may substitute constitution for your casting ability for the purpose of the DC for your spells that deal lightning damage.

Storm Genasi live an average of 500 to 700 years

Storm Genasi are between 90 - 140 lbs and 6 to 7 feet tall. Your size is Medium.

Your eyes are used to operating in the darkness cast by the storms, you can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

 You have resistance to lightning damage. 

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character.
